Naura Maharani Adawiya Syafril joined Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi & Partners as an Associate in June 2024, shortly after graduating cum laude from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, with a major in Private Law in April 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Naura gained valuable legal experience through internships at a reputable Indonesian law firm and a government institution, where she was involved in a range of corporate, commercial, and public sector matters.
Naura focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure and project development, and corporate transactions in regulated and asset-intensive industries, including mining, energy, real estate, and public infrastructure. She advises both Indonesian and international clients on transactional, corporate, and regulatory matters.
Since joining NSMP, Naura has been involved in a range of M&A and infrastructure transactions. Her experience includes representing sellers in acquisitions involving a prominent food and beverage company, as well as representing buyers in power and infrastructure-related transactions. She has also advised on the feasibility and development of Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) projects for two separate projects, both involving Indonesian regional government-owned enterprises (BUMDs), and assisted with buyer-side legal due diligence for a mini-hydropower plant (PLTM) project. In addition, she regularly advises a Jakarta-based BUMD on its day-to-day corporate actions and projects.
Her transactional practice also encompasses real estate and financing matters. Naura has represented sellers in land sale transactions in Bali and advised buyers in connection with large-scale land acquisitions in West Java, including conducting legal due diligence on the relevant land and property. She has also been involved in intercompany loan restructuring arrangements involving a holding company and its subsidiaries, as well as assisted a state-owned financial institution in connection with a non-true sale securitization transaction involving Asset-Backed Securities in the Form of Participation (EBA-SP).
Naura also has experience advising on cross-border corporate and regulatory matters. She has assisted a Canadian company in connection with its mining operations in Indonesia, advised a Hong Kong-based entity on insurance matters, and supported an Australian multinational company on employment-related matters in Indonesia. She also regularly advises a multinational FMCG company on its day-to-day corporate and regulatory matters.
Naura completed the Special Education for the Advocate Profession (Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat or “PKPA”) in 2025 and passed the Advocate Profession Examination (Ujian Profesi Advokat or “UPA”) in 2026.
Naura is fluent in English and Indonesian.
