Marbuhal Silitonga graduated from the University of Indonesia with a degree in Law in 2017, where he majored in Criminal Law. During his studies, he participated in various National Moot Court Competitions and was appointed as a Judge of the Student Constitutional Court in 2016. He has eight years of experience in legal practice, with a particular focus on general corporate and investment matters, energy, banking and finance, capital markets, and commercial disputes.
Marbuhal focuses his practice on foreign investment, energy, banking and finance, capital markets, general corporate matters, intellectual property, and industrial relations.
His experience includes advising domestic and foreign clients, including State-Owned Enterprises and Regional-Owned Enterprises, on a broad range of corporate and investment matters. His experience covers foreign investment transactions, corporate matters, and regulatory issues arising across various industries.
Prior to rejoining NSMP, Marbuhal gained experience at another reputable law firm in Jakarta, where he handled matters involving general corporate and investment, mineral and coal mining, oil and gas, banking and finance, capital markets, hotels and transportation, construction, commercial disputes, and arbitration.
During his first tenure at NSMP, Marbuhal advised various clients on general corporate matters, intellectual property, and industrial relations. Since rejoining the firm, he has provided advisory services to clients on various complex transactions involving foreign investment, energy, banking and finance, and capital markets.
Marbuhal is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI).
Marbuhal is fluent in English and Indonesian.
