Dewanto Suharto is a Partner at Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi & Partners (NSMP). He graduated from University of Indonesia with a degree in law in 1994 and continued his studies at United States International University, School of Business, San Diego, where he obtained Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in 1996.

He joined NSMP in 2007 bringing with him over 10 years of experience of commercial law practice with profound Indonesian law firms where he was appointed as Partner in Roosdiono & Partners (2005-2007) and Lubis Gani Surowidjojo law firm (2002-2004). At NSMP, he concentrates his practice in general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, commercial transactions, and oil & gas.

Dewanto Suharto has broad and in-depth experience in mergers & acquisitions, particularly in banking industry. He has handled numerous landmark acquisitions of both publicly listed and private Indonesian commercial banks such as Bank Central Asia, Bank Niaga, Bank Bumi Putra, and Bank Danamon. He has had the opportunity to represent sellers, investors, and regulators in those transactions. He was also involved in the strategic sale of a major Indonesian cement producer. He also represented several oil & gas companies in their exploration and exploitation in Indonesia. His mergers & acquisitions experience includes structured divestment of Indonesian security and mining companies.

His most recent experience includes advising on behalf of a major public company in Indonesia for right issue and other corporate activities. He handled liquidations and business reorganizations of a major joint venture house-hold products manufacturer in Indonesia. He also actively involves in regulatory work relating to the construction and financing of various toll road projects in Indonesia. 

Dewanto Suharto is a member of Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI). Indonesian Capital Market Legal Consultants Association (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Pasar Modal Indonesia-HKHPM) and Indonesia Legal Consultant Association (Asosiasi Konsultan Hukum Indonesia -AKHI).
