Vera Noviani Harwanto joined Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi & Partners (NSMP) as an associate in 2013. With over ten years of professional experience working across the private and public spheres, she was promoted to Partner in 2023.

She graduated from the University of Pelita Harapan with a degree in law in 2011. She continued her studies at the University of Indonesia where she obtained a Master of Notary degree in 2013.

She focuses her practice on aviation, capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and other general corporate matters. During her career as a legal consultant, she was the lead on various transactions and legal matters in the aviation and airlines field. She has represented both foreign aircraft lessors and aircraft owners, as well as Indonesian airline/operators for leasing, sales and purchases, and the repossession of aircraft. She also has represented various financing parties related to the financing and security of aircraft in Indonesia.

In addition to her aviation expertise, she also has led numerous mergers and acquisitions transactions in various industries, including in the legal due diligence process for companies in Indonesia with diverse business interests. She has also assisted both foreign and domestic clients in the establishment of companies that engage in a variety of fields of business as well as advised on their legal structures and investment requirements in Indonesia.

Throughout her career at NSMP, Vera has received several awards and nominations. She was awarded a ‘Indonesia Rising Stars 2023’ honorific by Asian Legal Business, ‘Rising Star 2023 in Aviation Practice Area” by the Legal 500, and a ”50 Future Legal Leaders” by Asia Business Law Journal 2023. She was also nominated, among others, as ‘Rising Star of the Year, Southeast Asia’ in the Asian Legal Business Inaugural Women in Law Awards 2021 and ‘Young Lawyer of the Year’ in Indonesia Law Award 2020 by Asian Legal Business.

Vera has demonstrated her dedication in her dealings with clients and has shown her prowess in finding effective solutions for clients with confidence.
