Vera Noviani Harwanto is one of the associates in Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi & Partners (NSMP). She graduated from the University of Pelita Harapan with a degree in law in 2011. She continued her study at the University of Indonesia where she obtained a Master of Notary degree in 2013 and joined NSMP. She focuses her practice on the aviation industry, capital investment, merger, and acquisition, as well as corporate restructuring. During her career as a legal consultant, she has led various aviation transactions and legal matters in connection to aviation and airlines related business. She has represented both foreign aircraft lessor, aircraft owner, as well as Indonesian airline/operators related to leasing, sale, and purchase, and repossession of aircraft. She also has represented various financing parties related to the financing and security of aircraft in Indonesia.
In addition to her aviation expertise, she also has led numerous merger and acquisition transactions, including legal due diligence processes towards companies in Indonesia with diverse business lines. She also has assisted both foreign and domestic clients in the establishment of companies that engage in various lines of business as well as advised on its legal structure and investment requirements in Indonesia.
Vera is nominated as ‘young lawyer of the year’ in Indonesia Law Award 2020 by Asian Legal Business. In 2019, she was also awarded as the NeXGen Lawyer by Hukumonline.
She is one of the Extraordinary Members of the Indonesian Notary Association (Anggota Luar Biasa Notaris Indonesia – ALB-INI). She also has completed the examination of the Indonesian advocate held by the Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI) in May 2016, and the examination of the notary code of ethics held by the Indonesian Notary Association (Ikatan Notaris Indonesia – INI) in November 2013. Vera is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
