Andika Immanuel Simatupang is an associate at Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi & Partners (NSMP). He graduated from University of Indonesia with a law degree in 2015. He obtained his LL.M. degree in 2018 from Leiden University majoring Air and Space Law where he received a scholarship from International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation to continue his study in The Netherlands.
Andika focuses his practice on aviation industry ranging from aircraft leasing and financing to airline merger and acquisition. He assisted an airline acquisition in Indonesia including legal due diligence processes towards the company and the aircraft licenses. Andika also involved in sale and lease-back transactions for Moroccan and Indian airline and Japan Operating Lease (JOL) financing structure for Canadian and Japanese airline. He also assisted in the part-out sales of Airbus A330 aircraft to the buyers located in Europe. Other than aviation, Andika has exposure in corporate matters, merger & acquisition and banking & finance practices in several industries namely hospitality, oil & gas, energy and labour.
Prior to joining NSMP, Andika worked at a fast-growing regional aircraft leasing company and an aircraft management company both based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is a member of ISTAT and Indonesian Air Law Society (Masyarakat Hukum Udara –MHU). Andika is admitted in Indonesia under Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI). He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
